How to Apply
  1. Review detailed application instructions online.
    Domestic applicants (U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents)
    International applicants

  2. Complete the online application and pay the application fee.

  3. Submit official transcripts from all college-level institutions attended, whether or not a degree was awarded, directly to the Office of Admissions
  4. Submit three letters of recommendation. Each recommendation should consist of a cover sheet and a letter.
  5. GRE scores should be reported directly to Texas A&M University by ETS (institution code 6003).

  6. International applicants must also submit:
    • TOEFL scores, reported by ETS directly to Texas A&M University; and,
    • Statement of award of the degree or diploma. The degree statement should be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions at the International Graduate Admissions Processing address indicated above.

Admission decisions may be made throughout the application period. Applicants will be notified of a decision as soon as possible. To track your application, please visit https://applicant.tamu.edu.

Deadlines

Fellowships: To be considered for fellowship opportunities, graduate applications should be submitted and complete by January 1. The University offers two types of fellowships, Graduate Merit Fellowships and Graduate Diversity Fellowships. Both fellowship programs are restricted to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents.

Assistantships: To be considered for assistantship opportunities, graduate applications should be submitted and complete by March 1. Assistantship offers are made on March 15. Applications received after March 1 will still be eligible for assistantships during subsequent rounds of funding up until classes begin in the fall semester.

Due to the time it needed to process visa applications, for international applicants, the deadline for receiving all application materials is February 1.
