Doctorate student Liam Carr has received a grant award from the Virgin Islands Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (VI-EPSCoR). His research will employ multi-disciplinary techniques in ecology, economics, and ethnography to characterize seasonal variability in fishing pressure while comparing local concerns against regionally-mandated fishery regulations. His work is co-sponsored by the Center for Marine and Environmental Studies at the University of the Virgin Islands.
